Malaysian Portuguese, born and raised in Hong Kong.
Angela’s interest in fashion started at her early age. She obtained her BA Fashion design degree in womenswear at Central St Martins in London . She worked as an assistant designer in Philip Treacy beforeshe further gained her MA in fashion design in Amsterdam.
Her enthusiasium & curiorisity in fashion continuously thrives for her worldwide exposure. She was announced as the first runner up in the International Talent Support ITS fashion competition in Italy. LVMH talent scout discovered and appointed her as the fashion designer for Antonio Marras, the prestigious Creative Director at Kenzo. In 2007, she moved to Italy and focused on LABORATORIO, which is the true secret room of creativity to experiment her drapery & embroidery ideas. Later on, she brought her drapery vision to Ports 1961, creating the Red Carpet collection that was worn by numerous international celebrity included Olivia Palermo from New York & Feng Bing Bing from China. In 2011, she became the Chief Designer for the in-house label at I.T, a multinational fashion goods company.
In 2015, Angela starts her new chapter and debuts her own brand Out of Interest - By devoting her curiosity & sensations in Fashion & Contemporary Art, she transformed her boundary-pushing perspective in Fashion to innovate this wearable brand.

Out of Interest is delighted to debut its Fashion Accessory Collection this Winter with an array of edgy and chic metallic headpieces as a romantic prelude. This creation is inspired from the symbolic illustrations in 1950s and the photos of New York photographer Francesca Woodman, the talented New York photographer who is famous in experimenting women’s body with spaces, often in the photos included codes like lips, flowers, flowers on nude that symbolize femininity which showed a rebellious attitude yet also captured the beauty of women.
For the 1st chapter of Out of Interest, its prescribed does of effortless sophistication - sexy Lips, soft hands, adoring bouquet, luring heels are transformed into various series of wearable accessories that can be carried everyday, which matches friendly with your own pieces and radiates your fashion statement. With an innovative mind behind each design, designer infuses her aesthetics and functionality to the gorgeous headpieces; they are cleverly designed for styling in different ways.
